Realty Teams Do Hold Agents To Excellence

Realty Teams Do Hold Agents To Excellence

Shared by Joseph Zingales

Real estate teams have become increasingly popular since agents realize that one person cannot do it all. Agents should spend their time on what they do best which is showing properties and writing offers and leave the marketing, compliance, and bookkeeping side of the business to others. This separation of tasks makes a team more efficient where the sum is greater than the parts.

In addition to being efficient, teams usually have more experience in the field which ultimately leads to routines and guidelines being set which propels the team further and helps their agents reach their full potential. These systems ensure every “t” is crossed and every “i” is dotted which inevitably creates a team with high standards which in turn will hold each of its members to this same high standard.

Accountability

Teams should provide clear expectations to the agents before inviting them to join their team. This should include their accountability to meet certain goals as well as to complete the paperwork and their processes correctly. Many agents do not want to be accountable for their actions or lack of actions and therefore would not be a good fit for a team.

Training

Teams usually provide ongoing training to their agents in group settings as well as one-on-one. They know the importance of constantly improving and adjusting their strategy if they want to remain successful. Training usually focuses on client relations, negotiation skills, ethics, fair housing and so much more.

Compliance

Real estate teams have assistants to review contracts to ensure all documents have been turned in and signed correctly on every sale. This consistent review of the paperwork with the agent will bring the agent’s quality of output higher.

Overall real estate teams do hold agents to a higher standard because they have set systems in place to ensure certain tasks are being completed on a routine basis. Routines are key in any business because they create good habits which showcase the level of service. The team then requires these high standards from their agents. Most agents join a team in order to improve their sales numbers but they end up coming up higher in so many ways!
